Asian Breastfeeding In Canada

So you are married to a Westerner and you migrated to the West – whether in Canada or in Australia or even in United States and you just had your baby.  We Asians believed in feeding ourselves with lots of ginger after the birth and also certain special food – but wait a minute – your in-laws may feel differently about your breastfeeding because your baby keeps crying and not latching on properly.   This was exactly what happened to me – but listen don’t let anyone tell you that your food may be causing baby to have colic and therefore all the crying – because it is not true.  After all, for 1000s of years before now – our grandmothers, mothers and great grandmothers were  breast feeding us – so we survived and so will our kids.

Our hormones are topsy turvy and everything seems to be harder and you feel sensitive and all without any help or the weather too hot or too cold.  But it’s not your fault – because there is actually  nothing wrong with you.  Don’t let your spouse or anyone tell you that you should stop eating your food.  Trust me – ! you will regret it – and there is nothing wrong with the food we had been eating all along.

Fresh Breath

The outlaws smoke like a pair of chimney – for those who are not aware of this – so we decided that we should ty and get them some ecigarette not only because of them but moreso because Missy Moo goes to visit often during the summer.  We know they can never quit smoking and regular tobacco is so expensive – I don’t know how anyone can afford it these days.   So besides the no smell, fresh breath when kissing Missy Moo, it will save them some money in the long run and they can just about smoke anywhere without stinking up anywhere from their car, house, room and my front door and office back door.    So we are going ahead to get the e – cigarette for them since it’s money back guarantee eh.

Planning A Family Trip

We are planning a family trip to Moncton – for a wedding – and what better to do it with our RV that we had bought last summer.  We got our rv insurance quote – and I told Mr Moo to bring the RV in for a quick check with our RV company – to make sure that everything is working right – so that I don’t have to worry about breaking down in the middle of our family trip.  It’s going to be so fun and I’m so looking forward to it – but I have to remember not to over-stress myself.  But with an RV – I can bring everything I want – with us – and guess what – the outlaws will be coming in our RV with us – so we save on accommodation and my outlaw can take turns to drive the RV – no worries again about Mr Moo driving alone and getting too tired!   We are going to have  so much fun!  you all know that a vacation with the family can only be good  for the health right?

A Dull Pain After Hysterectomy

Well..!! i guessed i spoke too soon eh..!  i’m feeling a kind of dull pain on one side of my tummy almost 3 month and a week or so after my first sugery.  But it might be from stress too.. for i’m going thru’ a little trying time ..  with Missy Moo and home.

I started taking pain killers again. .only when it hurts.. so usually once or twice a day.  If this continues. .i’m gonna make an appointment with my family doctor . .and we’ll go from there.  And no news about my blood test.. so i guess it is good news..?

A Wasted Day

With Mr Moo sick.. my tummy relentless. .and wouldn’t let up.. mostly because Mr Moo needed rest..so we didn’t do nothing at all. I made chicken rice for dinner.. and that was it. .besides cooking lunch of instant noodles for my kiddo. Cleaning up. .and washing of course..no choice one. But mostly nothing done.. and Christmas eve is tomorrow… not really finished shopping.. but what can one do right..?  Didn’t even attempt to go to the outlaws.

Hungry Again

Once again.. there wasn’t anything that we could eat at the extended family’s. We rushed home.. to go grocery shopping.. and get some grub. Sometimes.. it is really hard.. because the kid doesn’t get to eat enough.. and we all come home hungry. Today.. the man couldn’t eat his mother’s lasagne.. coz’ it tasted funny he said.

I was so hungry.. by the time i got home.. i was having a headache. Of course.. my darn stomach/menses was letting up.. hurt like hell.
