Another Doctor With The Same Question

So I went to see the family doctor a few weeks ago – because  of my blood test – and this time – they had a new doctor – so they had to get to know me all over again.  I really don’t mind to be honest – just grateful we have a family doctor – and i get asked all over again for the same questions – but that’s ok too.  But one question that irks me a lot is they asked when is the last time i had my menses or if i am still bleeding normally even though i told them i had a full hysterectomy?????!!!!???  *roll eyes*  now what gives..???  should the doctors know that one don’t bleed no more after a full hysterectomy..???  Mannnn!!! how irritating is that..!!!  Is there a way a woman can still menstruate after having a full hysterectomy..??

Hurting Side Tummy

As you all know I went thru’ a huge operation almost 2 yrs ago – for my hysterectomy and also to remove my fibroid which was the size of a baby – about 3kg.  I’ve always been careful and monitoring my tummy situation closely but the last few days – my tummy had been hurting a little at a time.  But today it was so bad – i had to take tylenol to see if it would ease the pain.  I know that i’ve put on weight recently and should be using some  fat loss supplements but i’m stubborn and want to do it on my own.  But i’ve been feeling right clumsy of late and even feel that squatting down or picking up things are quite tedious – but anyone coming back to my tummy hurting – i don’t know what to make outta it – it’s like i’ve torn something inside – in the meantime – i’m gonna see if it would go away like my numbing left hand.   But that would be a story for another day.

1.5 Yrs After My Hysterectomy

Well, time flies – i thought i should give the people at Hystersister an update about my operation for my fibroid and my full hysterectomy.  Yes – it has been 1.5 yrs and boy! one would think i would be fully recovered and would be in the pink of health  – afterall, no more menses and no more pain right ? since my 9 months old size fibroid was taken out.  But nope – even though i lost my initial weight – i was in a lot of pain for at least 6 months – it did get better don’t get me wrong but i also put on weight because i didn’t dare exert myself as everytime i exercised it would hurt ALOT! I couldn’t even bend over to bath my daughter for the longest time.  Good thing someone told me about  adipex diet pills .  I would say i am still recovering and can’t wait till there is no more pain.. and no more uncertainty.  But no more bleeding – not even a trickle after the 6 more scare i had after my operation.   I will update in another 6 months about how i feel.

One Year Anniversary Of Hysterectomy

So it was my 1 yr anniversary of my hysterectomy as few days ago.  It was as uneventful as it gets.  So how am i feeling..??  Pretty good in fact.. but some pain on the abdomen still when i do exercises.. so i still have to take it easy.  I can pretty much do anything.. and can lift my 40lbs daughter up.. but not for too long. Obviously, i feel a lot better than i did.. when i had my fibroids.. and cannot imagine.. how i could have managed to wait for this long .. to take them out.  I guess a mother’s love is really great.. and because of Missy Moo.. i bear with it.. as long as i could, without even knowing that my hemoglobin was so low.. that i could have died – now that wouldn’t be good.

Don’t Even Go There With Me

i don’t understand why the ppl here would think that i am completely healed after 2 major operations barely a year over.  I had my operation in June 28 last year.. and another emergency one in July 2.  It had been 11 months at the most.. and everyone here feels that i should be hunky dory about it.. and can now walk the Great Wall of China.. and climb the Himalayas Mountain.  And if i said.. i was still in pain on days.. bad days.. they go like “oh well!”

But my friends from home.. they always tell me to be careful and not overwork .. because i’m not completely heal.  So what is the difference between the ppl here .. and my friends back home..?? *sigh* Well, i can’t say all .. expect the same thing.. but it’s irritating.. donch you think..?? to be asked this question over and over again.  Oh My God..!!! just leave me alone.. if you got nothing nice to say.. or suggest.

Wind, Wind & More Wind

Hate most about after my hysterectomy.. is the wind in my tummy.. and the paranoia after my laparoscopic that something is wrong.. if my tummy didn’t feel right at all or in anyway.  This was exactly how i felt.. my tummy had this weird feeling .. after i moved some office furniture and done some cleaning at home.  It is not painful.. but it feels like muscles were twitching and there was a lil’ pocket of wind.. that wouldn’t move or come out, no matter what i do.   The massage cushion is definitely heaven sent.. after using it last nite.. i felt better.. but this morning.. it’s there again.. *sigh*.  When will i get really well..??

Update On Spotting After 8 Months Hysterectomy

It has been a week since i last wrote.. an update on me spotting after 8 months into recovery of my full hysterectomy.  You will be pleased to know that although i still get pain every other day..  it’s bearable… and no more spotting.  Thank God..!!!  I’m awaiting to see my gynae.. on next Tuesday.. i shall update more .. when i’m done seeing him…  but I will suggest for an ultra scan just because of the constant pain.

Update On My Pain 8 Months After Hysterectomy

Yesterday.. i still had some kinda pain.. but i had taken it really easy.. and didn’t stress myself at all.  I sat for abit.. stood for abit.. and tried not to bend over too much.  But today.. i woke up not feeling any pain at all.. but by evening.. i was beginning to feel some prickly pain.. since i sat more today.. to do work on the computer.  I also noticed that after carry half a basketful of groceries.. i was beginning to feel lousy on the tummy too.. so i changed to a cart instead.  I don’t know if they are pyschological .. or it is really true.. that i cannot carry heavy stuff no more… *sigh*.  10 yrs more is all i asked .. so that i can wait till Missy Moo grows up .. before leaving her side.  Having a mom .. but not that kinda attention .. or time.. for us.. it was very sad for me.  So i don’t want Missy Moo to  have a mom.. but one who cannot do nothing with her.

Spotting 8 Months After Hysterectomy

An update .. on my spotting 8 months after my hysterectomy.  4 days ago, i had spotting for the first time.. after 8 months.. of my hysterectomy, it had stopped since.  Only a few drops in total.. but as of the next day, it stopped.  According to my ex-gynae, who moved to Ottawa now.. he doesn’t think i need to be alarm.  I am continuing to monitor.. and making sure.. i am not too stressed.  I still have pain today.. on my left abdomen .. but i only took 1 tablet of tylenol for pain so far today.  Will continue to update.. till i’ve seen the new gynae in another 17 days.

Pinching Pain

No spotting since yesterday morning.. so more than 24hrs.  I feel less stressed.. but still.. it doesn’t make sense.. why i spotted.  Don’t like it at all.  The gynae’s office confirmed my appt for the 17th March.. and told me to call..if the spotting got worst.

There were noticeable pinching pain on my right abdominal .. but yesterday was the left.  but the man said.. i had complained about this pinching pain before… so that is a relieve to know.  Everything seems worst than normal.. and it may only be in my head.  I will stay positive.. but my tummy does feel a little more sore than usual.  And here i thought i was on the road to recovery.. and started doing more housework.. and carrying Missy Moo.  *sigh*.  I’m gonna have to take it easier.. and haven’t bathed Missy Moo for the last 2 days… letting Mr Moo do it.

My only consolation right now. is that i’m not spotting anymore.. so that has gotta be a good sign eh.  I’ll continue to let all know about my condition.. in hope to help others.. who might be experiencing the same .. as I am.. find some comfort and answers.. that you are not alone.

Changes After A Laposcropic

One of the things I’ve noticed 6 months after a laposcropic for a bowel obstruction, is that i can’t stomach too much food no more.  When i get greedy .. or worried.. i didn’t get enough to eat.. before i go to bed.. my tummy really feels awfully bad.  But having said that .. you will be surprised.. that i get hungry easily too.  So if you ask me..i don’t know if it was the hysterectomy to remove the fibroids.. or is it the laposcropic surgery that i had.  I guess there will be just no way to tell.. and i’m darn sure the doctors ain’t gonna tell me either.  Not as simple as explaining some moth traps eh.

Tummy Hurting After Hysterectomy

My tummy started hurting for the last few days.. in fact since Saturday.  Of course, i went on a red alert .. but I was also trying not to panic either.  Having said that i was really worried.. and was hoping it wouldn’t be something that needed for me to go into the hospital again.  I hate the hospital here with a passion and i don’t mean it in a bad way, just that i don’t want any health problems no more.

So anyhow, today .. i had a huge poop .. and my tummy seems to be a lot better… so i’m now wondering if that laposopic that I had 6 months ago did something to my tummy thus affecting it in such a way.. after my hysterectomy.  But i’ve also heard from someone who have had a hysterectomy about a year ago that she still feels pain.  So if you are feeling any pain, donch get too alarm..??  Unfortunately, the doctors here wouldn’t confirm nor deny anything.. so there is hardly anyone i can talk to .. nor confer with. *sigh*

Never Thought I Would Sleep Again After Hysterectomy

When I first came home from my operation to remove my fibroids and a full hysterectomy .. i never thought i would be able to sleep again.  Why..???  that’s because I was in so much pain.. that even lying down was painful.  I was fully loaded with painkiller albeit the fact that my doctors .. didn’t give me any special painkillers .. mine were over the counter ones.. so you can imagine.. how strong they were.

But the good news is.. there is lights at the end of the tunnel… 6 months after my operation.. i’m pleased to inform you .. that the pain isn’t so bad now.. and most nights.. i can sleep really good.  I’m sure.. another few more months.. i will be feeling much better.  So if you just had your operation.. donch despair.. if you can’t sleep…  you will soon.. so hang in there..  in the meantime.. i need to get my  car insurance quotes before i forget again.

Santa Box For 4 East

I had planned to get some angel hooks for the nurses of the hospital in town… for the many comfort they brought to me .. during my stay in the hospital .. some 6 months ago.  I was staying on the 4th Floor East Wing.. and the nurses were awesome.  But i didn’t managed to get enough angels.. so instead.. i’m gonna send this cookies from Santa instead… plus try to find the nurse who bathed me.. when i was sick.  She was the best nurse ever..!!!

The Things We Promised When We Are Sick

Yes..!! yes..!! i fall into that category of people where we tell ourselves.. we are not gonna do this or that.. if we get outta the hospital alive.  During my second surgery.. the emergency one.. which had me staying in the hospital for a week or so.. i had also promised myself.. to take a better perspective of my life.. and learn to relax .. and do healthy things with Missy Moo like scrapbooking.  But 5 months after my operation, I am still not spending enough quality time with her.  I’m thoroughly ashamed of myself.. *smack my own head*.. so come today.. i made my new year resolution.. and that is to spend more time with Missy Moo.  What about you ..?? what kinda promises did you make while you were out sick.

Showing Appreciation For Nurses

I am grateful for the few nurses that helped me.. when i was in the hospital.  A few that made my stay there bearable.   Yes, the nurses do make some money.. but the things they do for me.. when i was in the hospital.. i doubt even my sister would do the same for me.

And to these nurses.. i really think they deserve more than they are currently paid.  These nurses showered me.. washed my hair.. took my poop out from the washroom.. to have it examined by the lab.  They really took care of me.. on the 4th floor .. of the Yarmouth Regional Hospital.

So this Christmas, I hope to get enough angel hooks..and give each of them one.  Tomorrow.. I am gonna call the hospital and get their names.  Hopefully, I can make them feel appreciated.

ARrrghhh..!! Putting On Weight..!!

Arrrghhh..!! i’m putting on weight after 5 months into my surgery.. and i donch know why..?? not like i eat a lot of different food.  Afterall.. there is nothing good to eat here.  I think it is the sitting around too much .. since i work on the computer a lot.  I have to be careful.. otherwise.. i would look like i did before i had my fibroids taken out.  Phentermine here i come..!!

Strange Pain After Hysterectomy 5.5 Months

Two days ago, I started experiencing a strange kinda pain in my abdomen.. and it lasted for a good 2 days.  i took lots of ibuprofen yesterday. .and it didn’t seems to helped.  I don’t know what to make outta it.. but this morning. .after a good 9 hrs of rest/sleep.. i am feeling a lot better.. but it is the other side that seems to hurt more now.  Strange..!! i’m gonna monitor it.. and will see my family doctor or my gyane .. earlier.. if it persist… or even the general surgeon.

Stress Prevention

Not enough time to get everything done, and feeling tired all the time, is how many people would describe themselves.  I am no different, having little time for anything else except for taking care of my brat, doing the housework and running the business. Top it off with trying to recover from a major surgery some 5 months ago,  you can imagine all the pent up frustration one can get.  You are not alone, if you can identify with any of the above.

If you are like me and get worked up easily, or know of someone who is destructive or wants to hurt themselves and/or others, it could be stress related.  Don’t fret because prevention of stress and acknowledging that you need help is the first step to a better living. Ume Balls

A very kind reader who read my blog about my trouble with wind in my tummy recommended that i try Ume Balls.  Looks like a very effective way to get rid of wind.. the natural way.  And you all know how i feel about the al natural medication. Of course, some research work had to be done. And it is said that the Ume is rich in organic acids and mineral and helps to maintain the body.  It is even safe for woman who are pregnant.. so that must already say something right..??
