What About Insulin?
Alot of you know that I’m diabetic.. and even though my family doctor and gynae encouraged me to control it thru’ diet.. i insisted that i should take medication for it. So a year ago, i started on Metformin, i take half a tablet twice a day.
About 3 months ago, my family doctor started me on baby aspirin.. because my blood pressure was irregular.. but i figured it was because i was talking about the stupid town .. and the town councilors. But having said that.. i didn’t feel it was a problem to start taking baby aspirin.. as it cannot cause me any harm right..??

When i tell ppl i’m diabetic.. they imagine the worst.. but mine is not the case.. because I’m the type of person who believes that prevention is better than cure. Some folks thinks that people like me who has Type II diabetes don’t produce enough insulin .. but truth is .. we do produce adequate insulin, but our cells are less sensitive to the hormone due to high levels of sugar in the blood. If the body’s cells are constantly exposed to high insulin levels, they become desensitized and donch respond to insulin correctly.

This is interesting. I’m currently on Metformin too. How many milligrams is your half a tablet? I didn’t know you could take half a tablet, perhaps that’s what’s better for me. I currently take 1 whole tablet of 500mg at night and feel sickly all day the next day. Do you have any side effects from the meds?
