Wind, Wind & More Wind

Hate most about after my hysterectomy.. is the wind in my tummy.. and the paranoia after my laparoscopic that something is wrong.. if my tummy didn’t feel right at all or in anyway.  This was exactly how i felt.. my tummy had this weird feeling .. after i moved some office furniture and done some cleaning at home.  It is not painful.. but it feels like muscles were twitching and there was a lil’ pocket of wind.. that wouldn’t move or come out, no matter what i do.   The massage cushion is definitely heaven sent.. after using it last nite.. i felt better.. but this morning.. it’s there again.. *sigh*.  When will i get really well..??

Scrambling For Mask

I just saw on the internet.. how the ppl in Hong Kong were scrambling for masks.. because of the swine flu.  During the SARs epidemic.. in 2003 ..  it was horrid.. and this time.. i guess .. they want to be prepared.  For the Asians.. wearing a mask is no big deal.. but here in the West.. ppl would surely think you are crazy.  I had worn one.. when Missy Moo was a infant.. and I had a cold.. and the commotion .. it caused… ppl thought i was sick with some kinda terminal disease.. hahhahaha!!!

So can wearing a mask .. prevent .. the swine flu.. or any flu..??  According to expert .. YES !  but to a certain extend.

The report says a face mask — or personal protective respiratory equipment — is the final layer of protection when exposure to an infected person is required, or unavoidable. The primary elements of protection are “engineering and administrative controls.”

So i think i should go out and get the mask.. before they get sold out.

Swine Flu

Scary .. scary..!! hate the flu epidemic.. going around in Canada. .. and so far about 6 confirmed cases.  There is someone on facebook telling us that her sister can’t get back into Canada.. because she is currently in Mexico.. and she had a asthma attack .. but the authorities here didn’t allow her to come into Canada.

I cannot understand the logic.. because the Mexican doctors had written a letter.. telling the authorities that she had nothing of that Swine Flu symptoms.. so what gives..??  In the meantime, ppl are asked not to come to Canada.. there goes the tourist season for this year.  JOY!

Poor Missy Moo

I feel so bad for Missy Moo.. because we haven’t had any bad colds of late.. and seems to be able to avoid it for the longest time, so we have forgotten what it is like .. to be having this cold.  Missy Moo had been having a cold every couple of weeks.. and sniffing and all.  Now that I’m having a full blown cold.. and sneezing and all.. i feel so bad.. that i didn’t realized how awful it can be.  As parents, I have to really be in her shoes.. and try my best to understand her discomfort .. when she is ill from now on.  I hear Naot shoes are good .. but I have to make sure she wants to wear it .. before i buy it for her.

The Cold

They attack you .. when you least expect them to.  Whether you are home, in some rv parks vacationing or even if you were just in some isolated island.. i swear they have a mind of their own.  I really, really recommend Vitamins C .. everyday .. and this time.. i caught a cold from Missy Moo .. because i became  .. Slacker Cow… muhahahahah!!!  Oh well.. !!! lesson learned  here..  nothing beats having good health eh.   So folks .. stay healthy by over-dosing with Vitamin C.

Stress At Work

For the last few months, we have been dealing with petty theft and things sold to us classified as “break and enter” .. which of course, we would not have any knowledge of .. in the first place.  But having said that all these time spent on trying to resolve them.. and talking to the cop.. and spending time talking to these ppl who got broken into .. is very stressful for me.  Maybe, I should go look for some sales manager jobs and not help the man with his store.  Less stress.. and less worry about all those money lost while we try so hard to be thrifty.

Pain After Hysterectomy

10 months after my hysterectomy .. i am still having some pain.  Just the other day.. the pain was so bad.. i had to take painkiller.. and not one .. but 2 tablets.  I don’t know what to think.. coz’ some days.. i can be really good.. and then all of a sudden.. the pain is so bad.. i wanna scream.

I’m also having headaches of late.  I don’t know how to explain it.. coz’ after eating . .i’m fine.. but it comes back a few hours later.  I suspect is the sugar in the blood. .. but how can it be.. ??  since my sugar level should be high..??  no..??

Bill C – 6

Bill C-6 was introduced by the Government of Canada on January 29, 2009. The proposed Canada Consumer Product Safety Act would replace Part I of the Hazardous Products Act and introduce a new regulatory regime. The purpose is to modernize and strengthen product safety laws by overhauling existing rules to further protect the health and safety of Canadians. It will continue to introduce necessary, concrete measures to make consumer products safer for Canadians and their children by prohibiting the manufacture and importation of unsafe products. Additionally, it will give the government the power to order recalls of unsafe products.

A Month After Pap Smear

A month ago, i went for my pap smear.. and i have yet to get my results.  Yesterday, a good friend/customer who works with the hospital told me. .that i can expect it back after 3 months.  So i thought about it.. and wonder what does one do.. let say.. if i had STD..??  or some kinda disease ..???  wait till i rot..???  oh well.. what can i say about the good hospital here eh..??  even membership card wouldn’t get me any nearer to getting my results sooner..i was told.

Pot Heads

I swear i’ve never seen so many pot heads and drug addicts in any town than this one.  People come into our store. . and selling stuff. . one hand holding their kid.. and on the other.. smelling like weed.  And then can tell me that they are turning their life around.. *slap forehead” because of their kids.  I sometimes wonder if they think i am stupid or what..??  i can smell them from a mile away… and they give me such a bad headache.. that’s the reason why i recognise it.

I bet if i can smell them. .so can the cops.  But the law here.. is consumption may not be a big offence. .unless you are trafficking it.  So ppl get away with it so often.. you wouldn’t even believe it.. now want me to go into it.  I hear a very reputable family in town.. being caught with an amount so huge. .that they can’t even hide behind own consumption.. but nothing is done about it.  *sigh*.

Produce may become contaminated in a variety of ways including through the soil, irrigation water, equipment, humans and animals (animal wastes used as fertilizers), unsanitary processing methods and even sometimes by the final consumer.

Fresh fruits and vegetables have been occasionally linked to outbreaks of foodborne illnesses. Pathogens associated with these outbreaks include: Salmonella, Shigella, E. coli O157, hepatitis A, noroviruses, Cyclospora, and Cryptosporidium, although other microorganisms have been involved as well.

Everyone is at risk for foodborne illness, however young children, the elderly, chronically ill people, and those whose immune system is compromised are at high risk. The most common symptoms of a foodborne illness include fever, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain and diarrhea. In rare circumstances, infections can result in more severe illness and death.

Long Walks

10 months into my hysterectomy. .and the spotting scare in February, I am finally able to take long walks.  The babysitter didn’t come to work.. so i took Missy Moo for long walks.. because i needed to get her out to get some fresh air.  I am glad to report that I have never felt better .. for a long time.  When i had my fibroids.. i couldn’t really walk for long . .even shopping was a painful experience.  I can’t wait for the summer to come.. and me and Missy Moo going out for long walks. .and eating in the park.

Blood Test For Diabetes

i am due for a blood test for my blood sugar .. but i had been so busy at work.. and my online work.. it is tough to tear away .. and get it done.  Then of course, the babysitter got sick for the week.. so everything went topsy turvy.  I also realised that i might have been depending on the sitter too much.  Anyhow.. i better get my act together. .and get my blood sugar tested really soon.

9.5 Months After Hysterectomy

2 weeks after my check up with my new gynae, I have yet to hear back.. but according to Lynette.. who works in the hospital.. they are short handed.  I have yet to write to my ex-gynae .. Dr Mukherjee .. because we are looking into some franchises . 10 yrs into business, we are ready to move on.  Ok .. back to how i feel..??  well.. i still feel a little painful sometimes.. not always.. and of course.. having a brat  .. like Missy Moo who doesn’t wanna sleep at nite.. and wants your attention 24/7 .. well that cannot be the best for the body.  But having said that.. i feel great.. a bit of tinkling feeling on my tummy.. but still good.  I don’t have to take a lot of painkillers.. only once.. since i seen my new gynae.
