Happily Ever Retired
Happily ever retired is definitely our plan. Even though we are not anywhere near retiring age, one must definitely plan and plot for the future, since the cost of living and medical/medication fees are on the rise on a yearly basis.
A 12% return on every dollar invested is what you are looking at if you join retirement income investing. It is hassle free, no stress, a low margin of risk, unlike investing in stocks, you don’t need to have to watch the stock market.. and go sleepless when there is movement in the exchange. But what i loved to hear most were the testimonies from other people that Diamond Bay is a great way to invest.
Blood Test
I know..!! i know..!! yer gonna say.. “what AGAIN..?? “ yup..! but this time.. it’s like a routine check to make sure that my haemoglobin is at the right count and all. So i went in this morning to the hospital.. and i didn’t have to wait long. Now the art of not having to wait too long is the timing and also the days you planned to go in. I usually go right at the end of the day for them.. which is at 11.30am… but of course .. i wouldn’t go in at 11.25am lah… i go in at about 11am .. or 11.05am.. at the latest. Or go really early in the morning at 7am.. when they start.
Having said all the above.. i’ve yet to praised the ladies at the blood collection services.. the nurses there were wonderful, wonderful people. They really took care not to leave bruises.. and we chatted like old friends.. and you see .. this is a gift.. because if this was my first time having my blood test.. or if i was a kid, now i would have to say .. this gift would definitely be much appreciated by parents.. and any patient/s.
I’ve had many good experiences with this hospital.. and their staff.. and of course I’ve had bad ones .. as well. If you read my journal.. you will see i had problems with the ultra sound department some 5 yrs ago, when i was pregnant with Missy Moo . .. but that’s for another day.. and another story. And my most unforgettable bad experienced was the 2nd day of my hysterectomy .. in the hospital.. whereby the nurses wouldn’t give me a hand to get up.. even though i had drips.. and IVs sticking all over my hands. JOY..!! i had to call Mr Moo to the hospital at 1am. Unbelieveable.. eh..?? nevermind.. i’ll talk more about it .. another time. So yes.. now i wait for the results.
IWK In Halifax
For those who are not aware of this.. it is in Halifax about a 4 hrs drive away.. if we wanted anything special done with concerns to our health issues. It’s quite a hassle if you asked me.. but what can you do if they don’t have the equipment here in Yarmouth right..?? And because of the umpteen times we had to drive up to Halifax for my immigration medical (only immigration doctors in Halifax), we had to get ourselves some power steering rack , else it wouldn’t be such a nice drive each time we needed to go up the city.
Wind Movement
Ever since my operations, the wind movement in my tummy is the one that irritates me the most. I get really upset.. because I can feel the darn thing literally moving around me.. and the empty sorta feeling that it gives me.. it just feels weird.. and uncomfy. I figured after 3 months since my operation, i should be feeling better.. but not so .. *sigh*. Plus for someone who doesn’t like taking a lot of medication.. i therefore even refused to take gas-strips .. or tums. So i suffer.. *sigh*.. but for those out there .. who had a hysterectomy like i had 3 months ago, i just want you to know that .. it’s normal.. and not normal.. but i am experiencing it. Talking of which.. i need to get a tummy support thingie … from Hyster-sisters.
Vaginal & Reconstructive Surgery
For those who have been visiting my blog, you will know that I had been thru’ a laparoscopic surgery 3 months ago. Although it was not for vaginal relaxation, I can boldly tell you that a laparoscopic surgery is definitely minimally invasive and it does heal a lot faster than any other surgeries that I’ve had.
My girlfriend on the other hand had her hysterectomy done about 9 months ago and needed a bladder surgery to repair her uterus. We all know that surgery like that requires great experience and expertise, on top of it meticulous attention that she never got here. I wish she had gotten her surgery done by international experts such as Dr Miklos & Dr Moore who are not only pioneers in this area of medicine, but they have world wide reputations. It is very important to have your surgery done by the most competent doctors, for you don’t want to be like my girlfriend, who is currently still complaining about having dull pain.
3 Months after Bowel Obstruction Operation
You all probably know by now that i had an emergency operation after my hysterectomy to remove my fibroids.. about 3 months ago. Some 10 days after my scheduled hysterectomy.. i went in for emergency as i had been puking and having diarrhea for 6 hrs straight. Yup.. ! no fun..!
Anyhow.. Dr Murphy thought at that time.. it was an obstruction of bowel but i can’t understand that .. because i was pooping and farting.. and it sure didn’t seem like i had any bowel obstruction. But after many CT scans . .and blood tests.. they just couldn’t figure out what was wrong.. i let them go in and see what was going on .. on the second day of my admission.
To date it’s almost 3 months now.. but things inside my tummy had changed.. i feel it. Even if i had to pee.. or had to poop these days. .i feel very uncomfy in my tummy.. ! nothing i’ve ever felt in my entire life. Plus . the wind didn’t get any better. .with time.. but i’ve always had wind problems.. so i can’t blamed it on the operations. My laposcropic surgery is healed.. although still abit sore.. from the one that didn’t wanna closed up.. but if i had to do it over again… i wouldn’t go for the lapo. I still strongly believed i didn’t have a bowel obstruction… but no doctor would admit that right..?? So word of advice.. donch be like me.. and put yourself.. and your body into another trauma.. when you don’t have to. Go with your gut feelings.
