Dressing By Ambulatory Service

In this town .. you can’t just popped into your family doctor’s office to get your surgical dressing changed. You have to call you family doctor.. and make an appt for the ambulatory service .. outpatients to get it done .. the next day if you are lucky. Although it only takes 5 mins.. it is still a big deal over here. Today .. i went to the ambulatory service to get my wound looked at.. because a surgical stripped had dropped off while i was in the shower.. a few days ago. My family doctor would do it today for me.. but i had to bring all the surgical strips on my own. Funny.. no..??  so no.. i opted for ambulatory service.

Fibroids Drinking All My Blood

After seeing how big my fibroids were.. i was asked to go for a blood test.. and found that my hemoglobin was at a dangerous low of 58 .. and normal folks should be at over 100.  A blood transfusion was quickly ordered… and there goes my first ever blood transfusion.  In total .. i had 6 bags of blood .. before and after my operation.

Support During Bad Health

Mr Moo was a great support during my stay in the hospital.  I could never have survived without him in the hospital 24hrs a day with me.  When I am well.. and everything is back to normal.. i want to take a look at those used Harleys he had been eyeing on for a long time now. Just my way of saying thank you.

Health Is Very Important

If i hadn’t been so sick.. and had 2 surgeries recently.. i would have been already doing stuff for my lawn and garden this year.  That was my big plan.  I wanted a great garden to have BBQs in .. and to spend the summer nites outdoors.. with exquisite garden decor and lights and to decorate the patio with candle lights.. and ornaments.  Little did i know.. that i had to be admitted to the hospital twice this year.. and everything had to be put on hold.  Health is definitely more important than money.  Make sure you take care of it.. before it is too late.

The Journey To My Hysterectomy & Fibroids Begins

Today marks the first day .. i journal about my hysterectomy and my fibroids operation.  For those who don’t know me, I want you to know that i have had fibroids for a long time.  It never disturbed me until i gave birth to my daughter… and it grew bigger every year.

It was a tough few years.. but because of the love for my daughter .. i didn’t want to leave her .. to be cared by someone else.. so i waited.. and didn’t mind the pain it was causing me.  My lifestyle changed drastically .. years later.. because I can’t do alot.. due to the size of the fibroids.

Flat Tummy

Two surgeries in two weeks..  you can imagine how skinny my stomach is right now. Yes.. but for me.. looking skinny isn’t that important.. it is health that is most important to me.  Sure I’ve used some diet pills before.. but it is not to be skinny like those fashion models.. but to try and keep a healthy balance or to curb my craving for like durian .. during the season.  So yes.. if i had to choose.. i choose to be fat but healthy.

Slow Laptop

I tried to borrow a laptop from a friend to use during my stay in the hospital, but it was too old to be of much use. It was still running Windows 98 and didn’t have enough ram to upgrade it to Windows XP. 98 would have been fine for most things, but the wireless adapter I have isn’t supported by 98, it only works on 2000 or higher. It was a nice thought though, but I managed to go without.
