Exercise & Type 2 Diabetes
I’ve heard many a times.. that ppl with Type 2 diabetes.. they should exercise.. and it makes a world of difference with the blood sugar. People with diabetes have too much sugar in their blood. This situation is thus harmful and can lead to short and long term consequences. In Type 2 diabetes, thre is a resistance of tissues to use insulin effectively for drawing blood glucose into the cell. Therefore, this left behind sugar in the blood leads to Type 2 diabetes.
For me.. i have been inactive for years.. because of my fibroids. I have to choose to ease into an exercise program.. and not try to run a marathon. Getting the right start is very important. Start slowly.. a 20 – 30 minutes walk 3 times a week.. whenever i feel comfortable.. no rush.. you’ll have a life time to catch up.. the doctor said. I’m gonna try it out.. and let you all know how i feel.
High Blood Pressure
High blood pressure is associated with diets that are higher in salt. Reduce the amount of salt you use in your cooking by using herbs and spices to flavor food. Try using lemon juice instead .. and other flavoring to liven up your favorite foods.

Dr. Paul Offit is not only a pediatrician specializing in infectious disease medicine, he is also well known as an expert on vaccines, immunology and virology and a writer too. I especially recommend to parents out there to check out his book on Breaking the Antibiotic habits : A Parent’s Guide to Coughs, Colds, Ear Infection and Sore Throats, any new parents would benefit from the information given in this book by Dr Paul Offit. Of course, check out other books written by him as well.. and on sale.
